STRENGTH & CONDITIONING SPECIALTIES INTEREST GROUP MEETING
2009 ACSM Annual Meeting, Seattle, WA

1) Welcome, introductions, announcements
2) Award presentation and brief overview of research by our 2009 Strength & Conditioning Graduate Student Research Award Winner - Ashley A. Walter
3) Informal discussions in smaller groups led by facilitators in the following areas:
* Strength & Power Measurement Issues – Larry Weiss, Lee Brown, and Loren Chiu
* Clinical Applications of Nutritional Supplements – Joel Cramer
* Resistance Training for Health Maintenance & Well-Being – Gary Hunter
* Resistance Training for Rehabilitation and as an Intervention for Disease – John McCarthy, Wes Dudgeon, and Tim Scheett

Goals for these group discussions include: 1) exploring and developing ideas for one or more session proposals for the 2010 Annual Conference in Baltimore; 2) discussing research ideas, techniques, recent findings, and gaps in field; 3) facilitating possible collaborations; and 4) providing an opportunity for students and all others to get to know some of our experts.
